The Live Oak Lodge is located 8 miles north of Interstate 10, 12 miles west of Sonora - almost half way between Houston or Dallas/Ft. Worth and Big Bend National Park. All guests must make reservations or arrangements before arriving to the ranch. Without them, you may drive up to a locked gate.

Check-in is between 12-5 pm. When making reservations please indicate your estimated time of arrival to your check-in location (business office in Eldorado or Live Oak Lodge). We want to make sure that someone is around to greet you or that proper arrangements have been made for your arrival.

Business Office: 5 North Divide in Eldorado across US 277 from the Courthouse.
Regular Business hours: Mon.-Fri. 8:30am-noon & 1 - 4:30pm.

Live Oak Lodge: 21 miles southwest of Eldorado on FM 2129
GPS coordinates: N 30 degrees 44.262, W 100 degrees 49.340

    From Eldorado to lodge: Take US 277 South toward Sonora, 3 miles south of town (at BJ Well Service) turn right (west) onto FM 2129- 18 miles later turn into Live Oak Lodge entrance on left side of road. Do NOT turn in at rock with X Bar Ranch on it, you have 5 more miles to go. (Approximately 20 min.)
    From I 10 West to lodge: West of Sonora take exit 388 onto FM 1312 west until you get to FM 2129. Turn onto FM 2129 (going east) and go approximately 7 miles to the Live Oak Lodge entrance on the right side of the road. (Approximately 20 min. from Sonora)
    From I 10 East to lodge: East of Ozona take exit 381 onto FM 1312 east until you get to FM 2129. Turn onto FM 2129 (going east) and go approximately 7 miles to the Live Oak Lodge entrance on the right side of the road. (Approximately 25 min. from Ozona)

Austin and San Antonio are the nearest cities with international airports, and San Angelo has the nearest commercial airport. An airport for private aircraft is available in Eldorado.
